about
Following up from their well received debut and sophomore singles, KDN Q and BETA95 return with 'Hold On'.
Linking up under brand new aliases, the pair started their new journey with anthemic bass tracks 'The Feelin' and 'Tell U'. Garnering radio support from Jeremiah Asiamah on BBC Radio 1Xtra, JAGUAR for BBC introducing Dance on Radio 1, Ben Malone on KISS FM UK and playlist support from Reprezent. The producer duo also picked up playlist placements from Spotify UK, most notably the popular 'UK House Music', as well as 'This Rave Movement' and 'The Loft'.
Amassing over 20,000 streams with their first two releases, the pair pick up where they left off. 'Hold On' sees KDN Q and BETA95 further explore classic rave and breakbeat elements. The track starts off with sombre piano lines and emotive vocals, but it soon evolves into an energetic bass-heavy offering, where ferocious drum chops provide the groove for a snarling bassline to sit. Chopped vocals which give a nod to 90's house and early UK Garage add yet another glimpse of the duo's musical palette, adding a welcome familiarity to this high energy dance anthem.
Starting their long term collaboration project, KDN Q and BETA95 set out to create a melting pot of music, taking heavy influence from the golden eras of rave music, 90's house and soundsystem culture. Fusing these pivotal sounds with a take on modern bass music the London based producers will undoubtedly capture the attention of ravers and DJs alike.
